Start with deciding exactly what type of employee you are looking for and what you expect them to do.  The more detailed you are, the better chance you have of finding someone that can get the job done. Imagine what the employee’s day and workload will look like and include as many details in the job description as possible. If you are looking for a marketing manager, specify that candidates will be expected to manage social media accounts, design direct mail campaigns, or perform market research - whatever specific tasks you will be expecting them to do.
